Sample Itinerary
Day 1:
- Hulhumale Nerumathi - Check Dive
- Tiger shark and sting ray point.
Day 2 - 8
Average three dives per day. Typically, the schedule for the day is as follows; however, the timings/schedule can be different depending on filling tanks, cruising hours, and weather conditions:
- 06:00: Wake-up call.
- 06:00: Light breakfast - Coffee & tea and toast with peanut butter.
- 06:30: 1st Briefing & Dive.
- 08:30 - 09:00: Normal breakfast.
- 10:30 - 11:00: 2nd Briefing and Dive.
- 13:00: Lunch.
- 14:30 - 15:30: 3rd Briefing and Dive.
- 17:00: Afternoon tea and snacks.
- 19:30: Dinner.
- Guests board the vessel around 01:00; Introductions and briefings, equipment preparation, and set up. 5+- hr crossing from South Male to North Ari Atoll after check dive.
POSSIBLE DIVE SITES:
- South Ari Marine Protected Area
- This is a hotspot for Whale Shark sightings all year round.
- Beach BBQ on the island.
Rangali Manta Point Dive 1 - Manta Point is usually active during the so-called "high season". Possible sights here: manta rays and silvertip sharks getting cleaned over an amazing table coral garden.
Dega Thila Dive 3 - A nice underwater tour between pinnacles, hunting scenes, and imbricata turtles on the reef. Good spot for snorkelers, as well!
- Mirihi Whale Shark Point - Night whale shark Sometimes, with a lot of luck, during high season, whale sharks might appear during the night.
Moofushi Corner Dive 2 - Spectacular dive spot: a manta point active most of the year that overlooks an oceanic wall. It can be a challenging dive, which is truly worth trying.
Maalhos Thila Dive 1 - Challenging dive spot entirely covered by ice-colored soft corals. The dive could be challenging due to strong currents.
Fesdhoo Lagoon - Here, there are high chances to meet manta rays by night, and if our guests like, we can go for an unforgettable dive or jump in with masks and fins.
Hohola Thila - Small healthy pinnacle covered in a mix of sponges and hard corals.
Fish Head - Maybe the most famous dive spot in the Maldives: a thila that rewards divers with amazing sightings all year round.
Maaya Thila - Dive 3 Night dive - Famous pinnacle for incredible shark dives, during the day and by night. Possible to sight here: turtles, octopuses, and cuttlefish.
Bathala Thila - Nice and shallow pinnacle covered in reef life and inhabited by sharks, tunas, and jackfish tornado. This is one of the few dive spots where it is possible to find frogfish.
Lankan Paradise Manta Point - One of the most famous Manta Points of the Maldives is during the West monsoon season, the so-called "low season".
- Cross South Ari - +5 hours cruising.
Kuda Rah Thila - Little colorful jewel in the middle of the Dangheti Channel. This dive site is an option all year round.
- Cross to Vaavu atoll + 4-hour cruising.
Dhiggiri Lagoon - Famous shark point where to sight nurse sharks and sting rays in action. It is usually a dive spot for night dives, but sometimes it is worth exploring during the Day / Sunset Dive.
Day 9:
- Cross to Vaavu atoll + 3-hour cruising
- Kandooma Thila
- Definitely number one in the ranking of the best dive sites in South Male Atoll. Long Thila, located in the middle of the channel, offers spectacular conditions to observe grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, big schools of jacks, and snappers, both with incoming and outgoing currents. This area can have lots of currents.
- Kuda Giri Wreck
- Colorful and shallow pinnacle with an artificial wreck full of life.
- Cross to Male +2hours cruising.
Hulhumale Nerumathi - Tiger Shark and sting ray point.
- Male City Tour.
Day 10:
- Check out and transfer to the airport at 09:00, depending on the international flights.
Marine Life: Including colorful reef fish, manta rays, whale sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, and reef sharks. Schools of parrotfish, tiny seahorses, and countless other creatures make its waters a true underwater paradise.
The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
