This voyage from Ambon into the heart of the Banda Sea is a true explorer’s journey, combining legendary dive sites with a sense of remoteness that few places on Earth can offer. Aboard Solitude Adventurer, you’ll experience days filled with world-class diving around iconic locations such as Banda Neira, Karang Hatta, and Pulau Manuk. With a relaxed onboard rhythm and carefully planned dive days, this itinerary is designed for divers seeking pristine reefs, dramatic underwater scenery, and unforgettable encounters in one of Indonesia’s most storied regions.
Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Embarkation (Ambon) begins from 08:00 AM
Embarkation at the harbor of Ambon starts from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM. Only transfers from Ambon Domestic Airport are included in the cruise package. Hotel/resort transfers to the embarkation point can be organized by Solitude with a 3rd party transportation to organize with your resort/hotel to be transferred directly to the embarkation point, or to Ambon Domestic Airport Terminal, where we can pick you up from 0800 hrs onwards.
Upon boarding Solitude Adventurer, a welcome from the rest of our crew awaits you. Orientation and registration (remember your C-cards and/or Log Books!) will begin once you are welcomed. You are encouraged to complete your registration and general liability release forms prior to embarkation; this way, you will save yourself some time with the orientation and can use this towards getting yourself settled in and rested! If you have not, there is nothing to worry about, as you can complete them after the orientation and hand them to your cruise directors. During the registration, Permit and National Park fees will be collected as well.
Lunch and/or Dinner are included.
Day 2 - 7
- 3 - 4 dives per day to famous dive sites, such as Karang Hatta, Banda Neira, and Pulau Manuk.
- A typical day on board : Light Breakfast > Dive > Big Breakfast > Dive > Lunch > Dive > Afternoon Snack > Night Dive > Dinner
DAY 8 - 2 dives
We will begin sailing back to Ambon after the second dive. Your last dive must conform to our 18-hour no-fly/no-altitude policy.
Day 9 - No diving, disembarkation (Ambon) at 11:00 AM
After a big breakfast, we will organize an appreciation briefing followed by the final disembarkation for our guests. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate late Check-Out requests as we must prepare for the new cruise the next day.
Snorkeling Information
This itinerary is designed primarily for scuba divers. Snorkeling is only suitable for strong, experienced swimmers, as dive sites may have strong currents. These trips are not suitable for beginners.
Snorkeling is unguided and subject to daily sea conditions. The Cruise Director will determine availability.
For safety reasons, snorkelers must wear or carry a life jacket at all times and stay close to the dinghies. Snorkeling may not be available every day.
Marine Life: Snapper, bumphead, blunthead parrotfish, turtles, sharks, moray eels, dog-toothed tuna, fusiliers, jacks, Hammerhead, thresher, and silvertip sharks, mobula rays, whales, dolphins and much more.
The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
