Join this unforgettable 10-day journey through the remote and spectacular waters of southern Raja Ampat. This itinerary explores the vibrant coral reefs, dramatic seascapes, and rich marine biodiversity of Misool before heading north to the iconic dive sites and picturesque islands of Central Raja Ampat. Expect world-class diving, stunning landscapes, and plenty of opportunities for snorkeling, kayaking, beach time, and cultural encounters—perfectly blended for divers and non-divers alike.
Sample Itinerary
DAY 01 to 07 – Misool Area
Arrival at Sorong
Pick-up at the airport (Flight TBA). Onboarding and departure are expected around 10:00 AM after boat clearance.
Welcome drinks and snacks will be served while the Cruise Director briefs guests on safety procedures, onboard organization, overall itinerary, and introduces the crew. Guests will then be shown to their cabins to settle in, refresh, and get ready for the cruise.
Jakare sails southward to Pulau Misool, stopping on the way for a check dive in the afternoon. Arrival in Misool is expected during the night or by the next morning.
Note: Diving in the Misool area requires coordination with local authorities and hotels. The list below includes key dive destinations. A detailed itinerary will be confirmed prior to departure, once arrangements are finalized with local authorities.
Misool Boo Area
- Dive Boo Window – a reference site with stunning tunnels piercing the rock from surface to depth.
- Also dive Bo West, Magic Mountain, and/or Yilliet Kecil – sites known for large gorgonian sea fans, vibrant reef fish, turtles, reef sharks, barracudas, and, with luck, mantas.
Misool Fiabacet
- Dive Fiabacet Ridge, famous for pelagic fish and turtles.
- Explore connecting sites like Tank Rock and Nudi Rock, plus Fiabacet Pinnacle and Whale Rock, which are rich in soft corals and critters like pygmy seahorses (Barbiganti and Denise).
Misool Wavil Area
- Dive Neptune Fan Sea Channel, known for massive gorgonian sea fans.
- Dive Four Kings, with a unique topography of four pinnacles and abundant marine life.
- Other notable sites: Barracuda Point, Wedding Cake, and Dunia Kecil.
Misool Pele
- Pele’s Playground, the westernmost site in the Waaf Island group, often features anchovy schools and pelagic predators.
- Kaleidoscope (NW Pele) offers black coral, colorful soft corals, and sightings of manta rays.
Misool Balbulol and Farondi
- Balbulol combines excellent diving with stunning scenery: clear waters, limestone islets, and hidden lagoons. Dive sites include Baby Rock, Balbulol Corner, Balbulol Plateau, among others, with drop-offs, pinnacles, canyons, and rich marine life.
- Guests can enjoy kayaking, SUP, and snorkeling.
- Farondi dives include Long Island and 3 Rocks, with dramatic underwater landscapes and diverse sea life.
Around 6:00 PM, Jakare departs for Central Raja Ampat, sailing overnight toward Pienemu.
DAY 08 – Arborek & Manta Ridge
Wake up to the sound of white cockatoos and dive Citrus Ridge and/or Mayhem.
Breakfast is served en route to Pulau Arborek, reached by morning. Jakare anchors in front of the island.
Arborek offers diving, snorkeling, beach relaxation, and village walks.
- Dive Arborek Jetty – an easy and beautiful site with soft and hard coral gardens, schools of fusiliers, groupers, silver trevallies, and giant clams.
After the dive and island visit, Jakare sails toward Manta Sandy or Manta Ridge (1 NM).
- Dive Manta Cleaning Station – a chance to watch reef mantas being cleaned at 12 meters.
Later, Jakare cruises eastward to Yanbuba Village for a night dive, snorkeling, beach time, or relaxation. Overnight anchorage at Yanbuba.
DAY 09 – Yanbuba, Blue Magic & Friwen
- Dive Yanbuba Jetty – rewarding dive with turtles, schools of barracudas, snappers, trevallies, reef sharks, and vibrant corals like staghorn and cabbage.
Sail to Mioskon, then dive Blue Magic and/or Sardine Reef – high-current pinnacle dives with rich nutrient flows, reef fish, and occasional manta sightings.
After diving, Jakare anchors near Friwen. Activities include swimming, beach relaxation, snorkeling, village exploration, kayaking, and SUP.
In the late afternoon, the crew sets up a beach BBQ. Guests return to Jakare in the evening.
DAY 10 – Return to Sorong
Overnight sail to Sorong. Arrival by 10:00 AM. Disembark by 1:00 PM for airport transfer (Flight details TBA).
The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
