Diving around Komodo Island offers a captivating blend of adrenaline-inducing drift dives, mesmerizing encounters with marine megafauna, and opportunities for underwater photography amid stunning coral reefs, making it a bucket-list destination for divers worldwide. Komodo really does have something for everyone, including stunning scenery above and below the waves and a walk on the wild side with the world’s largest Lizard, the infamous Komodo Dragon.
- Marine Biodiversity: Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts remarkable marine biodiversity. Divers encounter vibrant coral reefs, colorful fish species, and unique marine life, including manta rays, turtles, reef sharks, and even the elusive dugong.
- Current Diving: The waters around Komodo Island are known for their strong currents, making it an ideal destination for experienced divers seeking thrilling drift dives. Sites like Batu Bolong and Castle Rock offer exhilarating dives with diverse marine life amidst challenging currents.

The Banda Sea is located in the heart of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sulawesi and Papua. Diving in the Banda Sea offers a captivating underwater experience with its rich biodiversity, pristine coral reefs, and unique dive sites, making it a must-visit destination for diving enthusiasts.
Diving Highlights:
- Banda Islands: The Banda Islands, including Banda Neira, are the primary diving destinations in the Banda Sea. These islands are known for their stunning underwater landscapes, healthy coral reefs, and abundant marine life.
- Coral Reefs: The Banda Sea is home to some of the most biodiverse coral reefs in the world, featuring a wide variety of hard and soft corals. Divers can explore colorful coral gardens teeming with reef fish and other marine creatures.
- Marine Life: Diving in the Banda Sea offers encounters with diverse marine life, including reef sharks, barracudas, Napoleon wrasse, turtles, and an array of macro critters such as pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs.
- Historical Wrecks: The Banda Islands also boast several historical wrecks from World War II, adding an intriguing aspect to diving in the area.
Dive Conditions:
- Water Temperature: The water temperature in the Banda Sea generally ranges from 26°C to 30°C (79°F to 86°F), making it ideal for diving year-round.
- Visibility: Visibility in the Banda Sea can vary but is often excellent, ranging from 20 meters (66 feet) to over 40 meters (130 feet) in some areas.
- Experience Level: Diving in the Banda Sea caters to divers of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced divers. Some dive sites may have stronger currents or deeper depths, requiring appropriate training and experience for certain dives.
Itinerary Sample
Day 1:
- The crew will transfer the Guests to the ship. After a nice Welcome briefing by our Cruise Director, cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place. Guests can familiarize themselves with the vessel, set up equipment, and get comfortable.
Day 2 - 7:
- We offer 3-4 dives daily, including a night dive if possible. When crossing only 2 dives a day can be scheduled.
Day 8:
- The final day of diving with 1-2 scheduled dives - sailing back to the harbor.
Day 9:
- After breakfast and check-out, we start preparing for disembarkation in Sorong. We say goodbye to the guests and wish them farewell! The crew will organize the transfer to the Airport and assist at check-in for onward flights.
The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
