THE MUST OF THE MALDIVES!
- Leave for 14 nights and go down to the equator where you have an appointment in Fohamulah with the tiger sharks! Before arriving there, our new boat Seafari Explorer 2 will stop at the most beautiful sites, passes populated by gray sharks, coral, black tips, the fabulous reserve of nurse sharks of Vaavu, and many other surprises concocted by our team of specialists on site.
- The goal is to see no less than 4 species of rays and 9 different species of sharks.
Highlights:
- Manta Ray cleaning stations.
- Meeting with the whale shark.
- Sharks and rays in the Vaavu passes.
- Fohamulah Tiger Sharks at Tiger Zoo.
Safety first:
- All aquatic activities are under the supervision and guided by a qualified instructor (CMAS or PADI) from the Seafari team.
- Before each activity, the instructors on board will make a detailed presentation of the site, currents, wildlife, and safety rules to respect.
- The choice of sites is at the discretion of the captain and the main Seafari instructor in depending on the season and weather conditions.
- Seafari supervision may be imposed, by decision of the on-board monitors, at any time diver whose technical level is not related to his safety. For the same reasons, Seafari monitors can prohibit certain dives deemed too difficult.
- Snorkeling trips with Manta rays are planned, in places kept secret by our instructors.
Itinerary Sample
Day 1:
Group transfer from the airport to the ship. After a nice welcome briefing by the Cruise Director, cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place, and guests can familiarize themselves with the vessel, set up equipment, and get comfortable.
Day 2-14: Cruising pace (indicative times)
- Sunrise: Tea, coffee, and 1st dive
(depending on tide and site) - 8:30 a.m.: Continental breakfast
- 9:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m.: Navigation
- 10:30 a.m.: 1st or 2nd dive depending on the day
- 12:30 p.m.: Lunch
- 2:00 p.m.: Navigation or 2nd dive
- 4:00 p.m.: Island visit or well-deserved rest.
- 6:00 p.m.: Opening of the bar!
- Sunset: Night dive (1/week)
- 8:00 p.m.: Dinner followed by an evening presentation of the wildlife of the Indian Ocean.
Day 15:
Check-out, and group transfer to the airport.
Male Atoll is truly remarkable, offering a wealth of opportunities for snorkeling and diving. From colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish to giant manta rays gracefully gliding through the water, there is something for every ocean enthusiast to see and experience.
The coral reefs surrounding Male Atoll are home to a diverse range of marine life, including colorful parrotfish, vibrant angelfish, and curious clownfish. Snorkelers and divers can also expect to see schools of brilliantly colored butterflyfish, damselfish, and surgeonfish. In addition, it is common to see larger species such as tuna, barracuda, and even the occasional reef shark.
The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
