Brothers

One of the most amazing scuba dives, not only in the Southern section but the whole of the Red Sea, the Brothers Islands are quite isolated and thus a delicacy to be savored by the privileged few. They are barely visible and easy to miss, save for the Victorian stone lighthouse, a legacy of British rule, which towers some 32 meters above Big Brother Island.

Daedalus Reef

Daedalus Reef (also known as Abu Kizan) is a 400-meter-long and 100-meter-wide (1,310–330 ft) standalone reef in the Egyptian Red Sea situated about 90 kilometers from Marsa Alam. There is a small artificial island in the center of the reef, which hosts a lighthouse constructed in 1863 and rebuilt in 1931.[4] Daedalus reef is a well-known place for diving because of good chances to see pelagic fish, such as hammerhead sharks, and an abundance of corals. In the high season, one can find many dive safari boats staying overnight, anchored to the reef.

Elphinstone

This long finger-like reef runs from north to south in the open Red Sea. Steep walls drop to the depths on the reef’s east and west sides, while the north and south ends of the reefs are marked by a submerged plateau. Sharks often swim by the spot to feed on the abundant reef fish population.

Transfer Information

Please note that while itineraries are typically round-trip from either Hurghada–Hurghada or Port Ghalib–Port Ghalib, the arrival port may occasionally differ from the departure port. In such cases, the operator will provide complimentary bus transfers for guest convenience:

• Hurghada to Port Ghalib return: Complimentary transfer from Port Ghalib back to Hurghada on checkout day (approx. 7:00 AM–10:00 AM).
• Port Ghalib to Hurghada return: Complimentary transfer from Hurghada back to Port Ghalib on checkout day (approx. 7:00 AM–10:00 AM).

Guests may also book return flights from either Hurghada Airport or Marsa Alam Airport, depending on which is more convenient.

This classic Red Sea route is a favorite for shark enthusiasts and advanced divers. Expect encounters with oceanic whitetips, hammerheads, and occasional thresher sharks in the deep blue. The reefs are rich with hard and soft corals, anthias, and swirling schools of barracuda. Dramatic walls and strong currents make for thrilling drift dives and big fish action.

The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
