Central Raja Ampat is part of the broader Raja Ampat Marine Protected Area, which aims to preserve the region's rich biodiversity. Marine Biodiversity: Raja Ampat is often referred to as the "Amazon of the Seas" due to its extraordinary marine biodiversity. The region is home to over 1,500 species of fish, 75% of the world's known coral species, and an abundance of marine megafauna including manta rays, sharks, dolphins, and turtles.
Day 1: Sorong
- Arrive at Sorong Airport and meet the crew.
- Board the vessel and settle in.
- Cabin allocation and ship orientation.
- Lunch and dinner served while departing towards Raja Ampat National Park.
Day 2: Dara Island (4 dives)
- Explore the dive sites around Daram Island, where you can witness stunning underwater landscapes and encounter a variety of marine life.
Day 3: Misool (4 dives)
- Venture to the Misool region, specifically the Wayil area, known for its beautiful lagoon and excellent dive sites. Enjoy a boat tour and dive in the area.
Day 4: Misool (3 dives)
- Continue exploring the Misool region, focusing on the Fiabacet and Boo areas. Experience the rich marine biodiversity and underwater wonders of this area. Sail overnight towards Central Raja Ampat.
Day 5: Piaynemmu (4 dives)
- Renowned for its famous dive site Melissa's Garden and the opportunity to hike to a stunning viewpoint. Dive into the area and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
- Dive sites in Piaynemu could include Melissa's Garden, Barracuda Rock, and Love Potion.
Day 6: Dampier Strait (4 dives)
- Encounter majestic manta rays as you dive at Manta Ridge in Dampier Strait. Explore other dive sites in the area and marvel at the diverse marine life.
Day 7: Kri Area (4 dives)
- Dive into the Kri area, where you can explore sites such as Big Fish, Cape Kri, and the Sardine Run. Conclude the day with an excellent night dive, observing the fascinating nocturnal marine creatures.
Day 8: Mioskon (2 dives)
- Dive at Mioskon Island, exploring dive sites like Blue Magic and Yellow Fever. After the dives, sail back to the Usahamina pier in Sorong, where you will spend the last night on board. Take this time to wash and dry your equipment, enjoy lunch, relax, and prepare for any early flights the next day.
Day 9: Sorong
- Disembark after breakfast.
- Transfer to Sorong Airport for departure.
