Halmahera, an island located in the North Maluku province of Indonesia, offers diverse diving opportunities for enthusiasts. Departing from Ternate and returning to Sorong, you can embark on a remarkable diving journey encompassing various diving sites across Halmahera and nearby regions. 

Itinerary Sample

DAY 1 - TERNATE - Check-in

Spots: Halmahera

• Welcome to Ternate airport by the MV Ambai crew.
• Transfer to the boat.
• Welcome drink, Cabin allocation, ship orientation, safety briefing, crew introduction, and necessary dive paperwork will take place before departing.
• During the first day take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with the vessel and make yourself comfortable.
• We propose one check dive in the afternoon. 
  
  

DAY 2 - TERNATE - 3-4 dives

Spots: Halmahera

• 3 dives and 1-night dive close to the islands of Ternate, Tidore, and Mare.
  
  

DAY 3 - GORAICHI - 4 dives

Spots: Halmahera

• Group of Goraici islands. 3 dives + 1-night dive.
  
  

DAY 4 - NORTH PANTITIE STRAIT - 3-4 dives

Spots: Halmahera

• 3 dives + night dive at the North of Patientie strait.
  
  

DAY 5 - NORTH PANTITIE STRAIT - 3-4 dives

Spots: Halmahera

• 3 dives + night dive at the North of Patientie strait.
  
  

DAY 6 - SOUTH PANTITIE STRAIT - 3-4 dives

Spots: Halmahera

• The small island of Pigajara in the South of the strait, close to Bacan island. 3 dives. (including a wooden shipwreck).
  
  

DAY 7 - BACAN - 3-4 dives

Spots: Halmahera

• South Bacan Island, 3 dives and night dive, including a muck dive close to the village of Labuan.
  
  

DAY 8 - NORTH BACAN - GORAICI

Spots: Halmahera

• 4 dives in the North of Bacan and Goraici
  
  

DAY 9 - GORAICI- TERNATE

Spots: Halmahera

• Last 2 dives in Goraici. Then heading back to Ternate. If the schedule allows, we will visit the fort of Ternate.
  
  

DAY 10 - CHECK OUT IN TERNATE

Spots: Halmahera 

• Check out and transfer to the airport or hotel downtown.

The last dive will be on the penultimate day of the trip. Divers are recommended to wait for 24 hours before flying after the last dive.
